BIOGRAPHY
Fantastik Obsolete is a Montreal-based collective formed by Pascal Lavallée, Nicolas Lachance Brais, and Killian Pichon. They met in 2023 through a shared interest in immersive cinema, science fiction, and unconventional formats.
Fantastik Obsolete is a Montreal-based collective formed by Pascal Lavallée, Nicolas Lachance Brais, and Killian Pichon. They met in 2023 through a shared interest in immersive cinema, science fiction, and unconventional formats.
In 2024, the collective releases its first film, Biomes Voyages, marking the beginning of an in-depth exploration of ambient storytelling, spatialization, and the visual innovation inherent to dome formats. Fantastik Obsolete develops an aesthetic that blends sci-fi influences, environmental sensibility, and experimental writing, while working with strong rigor on mapping and 360° continuity.
Each member brings complementary expertise:
– Pascal Lavallée: editor, sound composer, and artist working in VFX and motion design.
– Nicolas Lachance Brais: 3D artist and visual effects creator.
– Killian Pichon: 3D artist specializing in motion design, compositing, and VFX.
